S.P.I.R.E.: Sharn Private Investigation and Risk Elimination
"Commish" Michael Mallory
“Books’” Synopsis: Human, former member of the Sharn guard, proprietor of Sharn Private Investigation and Risk Elimination (S.P.I.R.E.). Reportedly forced into retirement from Sharn guard under unknown circumstances. Reckless in his regards to how the law should be upheld, but of good intentions, so far as can be observed. Has lofty ideas for S.P.I.R.E., and has shown nothing but high hopes for current employees.
Am currently investigating any former ties with the Sharn Guard that might prove either a help or a hindrance to future endeavors.
Michael Mallory was a commissioner within the Sharn Guard, heading up a number of task forces against organized crime as well as vice. However, he found himself quickly being ushered out of the Guard; to this day, he suspects that he upset the wrong people, and that the corruption of the Guard that had been so prevalent had finally come home to roost.
Not one to sit on his laurels, he founded S.P.I. (Sharn Private Investigation). It was an abysmal failure. While he occasionally got run-away stories, or angry spouses, he never found himself with any legitimately interesting cases. The idea struck him to form S.P.I.R.E. when happening upon a local adventuring guild’s advertisement; using what little resources he had, he put forth the appropriate paperwork and footwork to make this happen. He may have stepped on a few toes with the local Deathsgate adventuring guild, but, it doesn’t seem to concern Mallory whatsoever.
Having brought on a number of adventurers interested in making a difference within the walls of Sharn itself, he’s eager to see how far S.P.I.R.E. can go.
